Hi, I’m Robyn Payne

Founder of EdgeBox. Certified Educator. Homeschool Advocate. Curriculum Creator.

I created EdgeBox because I believe that every child deserves a personalized education that fits who they are, not a one-size-fits-all curriculum designed for a test.

As a former homeschooled student myself, I know firsthand how powerful and freeing this journey can be. I graduated high school a year early through homeschooling and was accepted into multiple universities. That freedom to learn in a way that worked for me changed everything, and now I help families all over the country create that same experience for their own kids.

I’ve taught students from all walks of life, from struggling learners to gifted students, from English language learners to those with unique learning needs. I’ve seen what works, and more importantly, I’ve seen what doesn’t.

Why I Left Public Education

Despite years of success in the classroom, I realized I couldn’t stay in the public system any longer. I didn’t sign up to teach kids how to take tests. I signed up to prepare them for life.

But every day, I saw students breaking down under pressure. Crying. Shutting down. Having full-on anxiety attacks over standardized testing. Their self-esteem was being destroyed by unrealistic expectations, and I knew I couldn’t be part of that anymore.

My hands were tied, and I wanted to give more.

More life skills.
More confidence.
More meaning.
More heart.

How EdgeBox Was Born.

Even while teaching in public schools, I continued to homeschool my own children, and the homeschool community has always had my heart.

Over the years, homeschool families came to me for help with curriculum alignment, lesson planning, pacing, and strategies. I realized that the need for support was bigger than I imagined, and that my experience could make a real difference.

EdgeBox was my answer.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a mission. A calling.
And I don’t create “one-size-fits-all” anything. Because kids aren’t one-size-fits-all.

I design each EdgeBox with real-world skills, values, and common sense at the core. Whether it’s a hands-on project, a tailored lesson plan, or a recorded video just for your child, you can trust that every box is built with intention and care.
